My little sister's getting married!

I am so excited!  In less than two weeks my little sister is getting married.  I am really looking forward to the wedding and to seeing my little men wearing tuxedos!

Its a busy time of year for the wedding and I have to say my holiday season is going by even faster than usual.  We held Kim's bridal shower and bachellorette party during Thanksgiving weekend.  It was very busy but so much fun!  She wanted a fancy, girly, champagne drinking party.  So we decided to make he shower a french theme.

The cake on our dessert table.  It's pink champagne flavored, one of my favorites for a fancy party.  And she specified that she wanted to be drinking champange so why not have it in her cake as well.

I also wanted to make cupcakes for her.  I like the way the whole table looked with the cake and cupcakes.  The cupcakes were red velvet, Kim's favorite.  And the red cake looked pretty on the table too!

The cake before the party without the little eiffel tower figurine.

And for the shower favors.  I wanted to make something special so I decided to make these tiered wedding cake cookies.

I've seen them made before but never had a reason to make them.  They looked really cute all packaged up for the guests.  I made tags for them in the color scheme with little eiffel towers.  Not the best pictures of them packaged and ready, but it's better than nothing.

Another thing I have always wanted to make but never had an excuse for are lingerie cookies.  So I decided Kim's bachellorette party needed some cookies!

I loved the way they turned out and the guests appreciated them too!  Coming soon, the grooms cake!
